Sleat, Isle of Skye
Sleat occupies the most southerly arm of Skye. Its terrain and climate is a little gentler than some other parts of the Island and this combined with the soil produces a greener more wooded area sometimes referred to as The Garden of Skye. There are no large settlements in Sleat, rather a collection of smaller crofting townships.
