Bed & Breakfast accommodation in a traditional Scottish crofting and fishing community.
Rose Croft is a detached bungalow set in an mature garden. It is situated in the centre of Elgol, a small village lying almost at the tip of the Strathaird peninsula.
We offer Bed and Breakfast accommodation for up to a maximum of just 4 guests at any time, which helps to ensure a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
We have a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, the twin being the larger of the two. Both rooms have a television. The guests' bathroom is fitted with an electric shower. Towels and hairdryer are supplied for your convenience. For the comfort of all guests, and ourselves, there is no smoking anywhere within the premises.
Breakfast is served at 8:30am and you can choose to have either a full cooked breakfast or a lighter option. If you need to have breakfast at an earlier time (maybe you have no car and have a long walk ahead of you, or you are using public transport) we are quite happy to arrange it, but you must let us know the evening before.
Rose Croft is ideally situated for both walkers and photographers - being in an area with an abundance of wildlife and also some of the most spectacular landscapes on Skye. It is also perfectly located for people who just want to get away and unwind for a while - perhaps taking a boat trip over to Loch Coruisk, which nestles within the Cuillin Mountains - or just watching the activities of the boats at the jetty.
All rooms are on the ground floor
We are unable to accommodate children under the age of 14 years, as we do not have a Family Room.
A No Smoking policy applies throughout the house.
Sorry, No Pets.
£30 per person, per night (based on 2 sharing a room).
Open March to October.

Cross the bridge. Turn right at the roundabout. Travel north on the A87 towards Broadford. Continue on the A87 through Broadford. In Broadford take the road signposted for Elgol (the turning is just by the Broadford Hotel). This road is the B8083 (marked as the A881 on some maps). Elgol is approximately 15 miles along this single track road.
As you enter the village, you will pass Coruisk House (an excellent restaurant). Rose Croft is about another ¾ mile along further on the right and is easily identified by the signboard. Allow about 35-40 minutes for the drive from Broadford.
Travel up the A851 towards Broadford. Turn left onto the A87 towards Broadford. Just before the Broadford Hotel, turn left for Elgol on the B8083 and continue as above.
Our approximate location is shown on this On-line Map (Grid Reference NG522142).
