Quiraing View is situated in the Trotternish peninsular of the Isle of Skye on a working croft. We are facing the Quiraing mountains and share stunning scenery.
The Island's culture is a huge tourist attraction and here in Staffin this is no exception. It has been described as having kept its culture, the land in the area is still being used for crofting purposes. Hay is still being made and potatoes are still being planted! Working sheepdogs can still be seen in action.
For walking enthusiasts some highlights are the walks along the Quiraing ridge (where golden eagles can often be seen), the Kilt Rock viewpoint and the Old Man of Storr are also close at hand.
For fishing enthusiasts there is fishing available locally, both fresh water and rod fishing from nearby rocks. Boat excursions are held from Staffin Bay, weather permitting.
If Island history is your interest there are two very good museums nearby, one situated in Staffin, the other in Kilmuir, our neighbouring community which is steeped in history, Flora MacDonald who helped Bonnie Prince Charlie escape back to France after the Jacobite risings is buried here and her monumental grave is a big attraction.
We are situated approximately 18 miles from Portree, the capital of the Isle of Skye. Approximately 15 minutes drive will take you to Uig, the main port to take you to the Outer Isles.
We are centrally situated with two hotels, one internet café, good food take-away and a restaurant nearby. Also close at hand are two grocery shops, churches, and beach.
The Quiraing View apartment is a two bedroom fully furnished self contained flat. The apartment contains two bedrooms (one double and one with bunk beds), bathroom, sitting room and kitchen. The property has been fully fitted and furnished to a very high standard. Entrance to the premises is by a private stair well.
Cleanliness plays a major role in our flat and we would ask that it be kept clean and tidy at all times.
Due to fire regulations / precautions we operate a no smoking policy on the premises. No pets except guide dogs.
Off road parking. Enclosed garden with garden benches and barbecue. Easy access to beach. Panoramic views. Picturesque walks.
