Lusta Cottage is situated in a magnificent location and enjoys spectacular views over Loch Bay and the pretty sea village of Stein to a number of offshore islands including the Outer Hebrides.

The detached modern 3 bedroom bungalow and fenced garden sit in 17 private acres of owner occupied croft land with its own seashore frontage, offering a beautiful walk following the Lusta Burn which forms an attractive gorge through the croft and produces several waterfalls on its way to the sea.
Situated in the quiet rural peninsula of Waternish in the North-West of Skye, Lusta Cottage is an ideal base for exploring the region, or just relaxing. A short walk along the beach will bring you to the historic village of Stein, boasting the 18th century Stein Inn and the renowned Loch Bay Seafood restaurant.

The house is comfortably furnished and has been specially designed to give all rooms a view over Loch Bay and/or the Burn. There are one double and two twin bedrooms each with their own private bath/shower room. There is a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher and microwave whilst washing machine and tumble drier are housed in a small utility area. The lounge and attached conservatory offer a comfortable seating area including a double sofa bed for occasional use as required. Ample parking is available with a garage that can provide shelter for motorcycles or pedal cycles.

The bungalow is available throughout the year. Bookings are normally from 6.00pm on the day of arrival to 10.00am on the day of departure, Saturday to Saturday. Low Season weekend and mid week breaks may also be available – please call us to discuss terms.

A deposit is required at the time of booking of £100 (please send deposit by cheque). The deposit is non-refundable.

Cross the bridge. Turn right at the roundabout, taking the A87 towards to Portree. As you enter Portree, turn left onto the A87, sign posted to Uig and Dunvegan. After 5 miles left onto the A850, signposted for Dunvegan. Turn right onto B886 to Waternish. Follow road for approximately 3.5 miles. On your left immediately after passing a small traditional thatched cottage you will see the five bar gate at the entrance to Lusta Cottage, leading into the enclosed garden and spacious parking area.
Travel up the A851 towards Broadford. Turn left onto the A87 and drive to Portree. From Portree, the route is the same as above.
