Situated 7 miles north of Broadford and set in half an acre of gardens, Heron Cottage is a superbly appointed two-person cottage on the shores of Loch Ainort with ample private parking space and gardens which open onto the beach. Panoramic sea, island and mountain views are a feature of the location.

Heron Cottage is recently built and is specially designed to take full advantage of the truly unrivalled views of the Red Cuillin across Loch Ainort.

Positioned centrally to facilitate travel to all parts and so take full advantage of the Island's mystique, the setting will appeal equally to photographers, divers, kyakers, climbers, walkers, fishermen, bird and wildlife watchers or anyone simply looking for relaxation and tranquility.

Dolphins, otters, seals, eagles, buzzards, herons and various divers are a common sight from your arm-chair in the lounge.

Photographers, artists and film-makers find the quality of the ever changing light both challenging and inspirational, and more and more major studios are now using Skye as a location for shooting.

Shops, supermarkets, 24 hour petrol station, post office, bank, restaurants and hospital all in Broadford, 7 miles south.

Tariff

From £250 in low season to £400 in high season.

Electricity, gas included.

Bookings are from Saturday to Saturday.

On your first day, please do not arrive before 4:00pm (except by prior arrangement). Please vacate the cottage by 10:00am on the day of departure.

How To Find Heron Cottage

Once on Skye, take the main A87 which runs from Kyleakin to Portree.

This road passes through Luib exactly seven miles north of Broadford.

Heron cottage is the second house on the right as you drive from Broadford.

Be warned, it is not unusual for drivers to be so distracted by the view that their vehicles leave the road!
