Dun Eighre is a Family Bed and Breakfast where Malcolm and Heather will greet you with a warm, friendly welcome and you will be offered refreshments on your arrival.

Dun Eighre is situated approx. 8 miles North of Portree and approx. 7 miles South of Uig (the Ferry Port to the Outer Hebrides) on the A87 overlooking Loch Snizort to the Aird and Bernisdale Peninsula. Wild life abounds in the area where you may sight Eagles both Golden and White Tailed Sea Eagles, Otters and Seals can also be sighted within the Loch. Portree the island capital has ample restaurants and good shopping and leisure facilities. To the North you have the Quiraing, Duntulm Castle, and Dunvegan all good walking and climbing areas. To the South you can visit Sligachan, Broadford, Elgol or the Sleat Peninsula to Armadale Castle.

Accommodation

We have a Double Bedroom En-Suite and a Twin Bedroom with Private Bathroom.

All rooms are well appointed (TV/ Tea & Coffee facilities etc.) and have beautiful views of either Loch Snizort or the Glen to the rear of the property.

A choice for Breakfast is provided from a Menu and any Special Dietary requirements can be catered for on request. Packed Lunches can be provided to order and Evening Meals can be provided by arrangement the previous day.

Directions

From the South:

From the Skye Bridge or the Armadale Ferry follow the signs for Portree. Continue on the A87 from Portree, towards Uig. Dun Eighre is on the right hand side approx. ½ mile after leaving Kensaleyre (National speed limit signs).

From the North:

From Uig Ferry Terminal proceed towards Portree on the A87 and approx. 7 miles from Uig, Dun Eighre is on the Left-hand side.
