From the A87 road through Broadford take the B8083 (marked as the A881 on some maps), signposted for Elgol. Approximately 15 miles along this single track road you enter the village of Elgol.
Tigh Phòil is on the lefthand side of the road 100 yards past the village signpost and just before a slight right hand bend in the road.
In summer the cottage can be surprisingly hard to spot from the road.
A small cairn with "24" painted on it marks the top of the driveway to the next croft along. If you see that, you have arrived.
