Tigh Phòil (Paul's Cottage) is an original, centuries old, "black house". Gaelic speaking Sgitheanachs (Skye people) have lived in this cosy cottage for generations making a living by fishing and crofting. Inside the thick stone walls, keeping warm by peat burning stoves, it is easy to be swept back to an earlier simpler way of life. Buy some fish from the local fishermen at the harbour in Elgol, some local vegetables and wash it down with Skye brewed beer or the famous local malt and enjoy a peaceful relaxed holiday in one of the most scenic areas of Skye with stunning views of Rùm, Eigg and Muck.
The cottage is just a short walk from our seafood restaurant at Coruisk House.
Double bedroom, bathroom/toilet, kitchen/diner. All on one floor. Exterior - Fenced garden with grassed area, mature shrubs and a small burn (stream).
