Sleeping 4-6 and ideal for two couples or for a family holiday, Tigh na Keppoch offers a very quiet, peaceful location set away from the road. Get away from it all in this individually designed house with panoramic mountain, sea and island views taking in the Cuillin Ridge, part of the Isle of Eigg. Southern Skye can be seen across Loch Slapin and mainland Scotland beyond.

The sitting room features a wood burning stove for extra heat and a cosy atmosphere. Your nearest neighbours are a herd of Highland Cattle in the fields around the cottage. The surrounding area is a SSSI with sea eagles, ravens and deer easily seen. There is a well recommended restaurant in nearby Elgol - Coruisk House. The diversity of this area provides an excellent base for walkers and climbers. Tigh na Keppoch is close to one of the backpackers routes into The Cuillins and there is also easy walking access from Elgol to Loch Coruisk.

Elgol is a tiny fishing and crofting community with a small harbour where the local fishing boats come in to unload their catch. The magnificent Cuillin mountains, across Loch Scavaig, provide a dramatic backdrop to the area. The islands of the inner Hebrides, Rum, Canna, Eigg and Muck can be clearly seen. The boats - The Bella Jane and The Misty Isle - sail to Loch Coruisk daily in season; along with the scenery you usually get to see seals and occasionally rarer species are spotted too.

Ground floor - sitting /dining room with woodburning stove (initial supply of fuel provided) kitchen, utility, shower room. First floor - double bedroom with whb, twin bedroom. Exterior - Parking for 4 cars.

Heating by electric storage heaters and the stove. Electricity and gas included in the rental. Gas hob & oven, microwave, fridge, deep freeze, washing machine, tumble drier, satellite colour TV, video.

Check-in & check-out: Please do not arrive earlier than 4pm on the first day of your stay. On the day of departure, please leave the cottage by 10:30am.

Mobile phone coverage: Signal strength in this area is very patchy. There are many places in which mobile phones do not work.
