The cottage is situated in the township of Stenscholl, just on the outskirts of Staffin on the northeast corner of Trotternish peninsular, with spectacular views across Staffin Bay to Flodigarry and Staffin Islands and inland views of Ben Edra and the Quiraing mountains.  Within walking distance of a sandy beach and slipway where you can take a boat trip to look for seals and other wildlife.  There is an excellent small local food shop to keep you well supplied.

How To Find Ben Edra

From Portree, the main village on the island, take the A855 north towards Staffin.  This starts as a stretch of single track road and then widens out into double track.  You will drive past the "Old Man of Storr" and Storr Lochs, Kilt rock and waterfall, and then Staffin village. Just north of the village there is a turning on the right signposted  "Staffin Slip" (stay on the Main Road), a few hundred metres past this there is a turning on the left, turn here and head directly down the driveway, straight ahead and you're there.  The journey takes about half an hour from Portree.
